where's pat?

Here's about a few years worth of ink, watercolor and bits of stencil used in a collage interpretation.

home on the range.

A friend living in Wyoming requested a painting. It went through many incarnations, before settling in to a composition I've been using frequently in the last few years. I still have the painting.

bahia blanca

A few years back, I began making painting I felt were directly related to musical composition. At least, the process has come to involve a more conscious connection to my understanding of musical composition. Living in Buenos Aires for 3 years was certainly a catalyst for this and especially the music of tango. The variety of of rhythm along with the relationship of harmonic and dissonant notes in the musical composition are as dynamic interpreted in color. The painting, Bahia Blanca, named after one of the first tangos I learned an piano is one of my favorite.

what time is it, anyway?

new gallery and loft on the square.

The opportunity has crossed my path to continue with a life of creativity. After years of travel, I find myself in Tyler, TX about to open a gallery on the square. Looking out my window, I see the courthouse, sheriff administration building, KLTV, Regions Bank and the square with Christmas tree. There's another art gallery and a few restaurant bars but not too much outside of the business of law and order. Its 123 Spring. I'm starting out promoting myself but intend on bringing in other artists in the future. I'm coming up with a clearer idea for the space but leaving the future available for something unpredictable and amazing.
